Crafting JAAQ: A Digital Journey in Mental Health Support

JAAQ

Website Design, UX/UI

March 2021

JAAQ (Just Ask A Question) is a digital mental health platform connecting users with world-leading experts, celebrities, and real people to provide answers across 100 mental health topics.

I led the UI/UX design of the JAAQ website in 2021. This project was particularly meaningful to me as it aimed to provide accessible expert advice to individuals seeking mental health support. My team and I cherished the opportunity to contribute to something that is truly helping others. We launched JAAQ in time for its television press coverage on BBC, a milestone that underscored the importance and impact of our work. The site’s design needed to be intuitive, engaging, and supportive of its mission to help users navigate their mental health questions with ease.

Key features of the website

Interactive conversational experiences

Users can engage in real-time, simulated conversations with mental health professionals, enhancing their experience with personalized and responsive interactions.

Effective data capture

By implementing robust data capture mechanisms, the website gathers demographic information crucial for mental health research. This ensures that JAAQ not only supports its users but also contributes significantly to advancing the field of mental health.

Auto-playing videos and dynamic content

These features maintain user engagement by automatically playing videos and presenting dynamic content that caters to diverse user needs, ensuring an informative and engaging experience.
While the website has since evolved to accommodate new business developments, it's rewarding to know that the founder, Danny Gray, acknowledged the contribution of my team:

“I promise you, without MWB, JAAQ wouldn’t have been at the standard it is today.”
